On November 8, 2016, citizens of the United States of America will be voting on who they want as their 45th president of the United States. The elections are reaching everyone in the country, including those at the local level of Greensboro, GA.

LOA is playing their part in the election process by encouraging citizens across the county to exercise their civic duty and vote in this critical election. Why? Because not only is the presidential seat of the executive office up for vacancy, but also crucial local level positions such as chairs on the Board of Education and the Board of County Commissioners.

LOA’s Student Government Association has played a big hand in election day turnout by offering services for unregistered voters or those not able to go to the polls through the use of absentee ballots request forms. Over 700 copies of absentee ballot request forms for each individual family at LOA were also given out for further increases in voter turnout. Signs held by student volunteers were held in carline on the afternoons of November 8-9.
