Katie Tran is a new addition to LOA this 2016/2017 school year. Though it is her first year, she is involved in many clubs and activities and has accomplished a lot. She loves school because it “keeps our brains working”.

Moving here from Crews Middle School in Snellville Crews Middle School, she has adjusted by making friends, being nice, smart, social, and praying.

So far, Katie is involved in Beta Club, Student Government, piano, and Jazz Band. She has also planning and managing a talent show, that is coming after Christmas break. It is going to be a service project for the WE program here at our school. She plays the bass, in jazz band, and cello, piano, and guitar.

“I’m just happy to be a part of a great school that keeps growing and getting better. It’s so awesome.”

She made GMEA All-State Orchestra and played for National Federation of Music Clubs. She played a memorized solo for judges and got the highest score of one, three times. She also participated in Solo and Ensemble two years in a row and got a score of one.

“It’s all because of Jesus.” Katie says in response to what she has to say on her accomplishments at such a young age.
