Francisco Tovar is currently a sophomore at Lake Oconee Academy. This is his first year at Lake Oconee Academy and is exciting to be here. He used to go to Greene County High School. In the past, he has been in many extracurricular activities such as: Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Beta Club, Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl, UGA Leadership, Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) and marching band. This year he isn’t really involved in many extracurricular activities because this is first year at LOA, however he plans on being more involved next year. This year he is involved in jazz band because he enjoys playing on the saxophone. He has been playing the saxophone since 7th grade. He is very fond on helping animals. This is probably the reason why he rescues cats and takes care of them. Francisco hopes to become a veterinarian and attend the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine or Savannah State University. Francisco is excited to be a part of the school newspaper family and to work with his peers.
